Do all Somalies look alike?
This is the thought, and light hearted question, that came to mind after reading an article, 'Somalian driver took L-tests for 200', from the Daily Telegraph newspaper.
In the story a Mr 'Deeg Mohammed', who had travelled thousands of miles to be in merry old England, embarked on a scam that could have raked in up to £100,000.
This involved taking up to 200 driving tests for his 'fellow countrymen' while he charged as much as £500 for each examination.
Unbelievably, and this is where the question concerning 'cloned' Somalies arises, he presented photographic identification for each test, provided by the man he was impersonating, and in all cases test centre staff failed to notice that he was not the person in the photograph.
It is amazing to realise, even though some cultures, especially muslim, have a proclivity for marrying and then procreating with their close relatives, that at least two hundred and one Somali clones have made their way to Britain's shores.
Even more amazing is that only a single one of these clones was intelligent enough to take the L-test. The other two hundred being just about bright enough to stump up the bribe they had to pay, money obtained by means fair or foul.
Additionally it is noteworthy that the genetic similarity applied not only to facial features but also to the criminal streak of dishonesty running through each and every one of them; this has to be more than coincidence.
Mr 'Deeg Mohammed''s motivation?
He had sat the tests out of loyalty to Somalians, with illicit gains of course playing no part in any of this affair.

Interesting post this, I suspect the test people are over a barrel on this one, identifying ethnics must run fowl of political correctness. I have often wondered how many have passed their test first time - Would it be racist to fail them?
What a tangled web we weave.
Been going on for years and still rife in the education dept...happens every year in our local tech. at exam time, we have to identify the people sitting around us..yet not a mention in the media.
Our population is flooded with shoddy imported goods that unlike the T shirts & watches aren't even cheap...they're costing us a packet.
It appears that multiple applications by one Somali on behalf of their 'bretheren' is not something confined to driving licence applications. Apparently Leicester's Somali 'community' is benefiting heartily from multiple applications for social security benefits from a small group of men, women and children that form a range of 'families'. And of course, they are NEVER challenged.
